PATRIOT COURT SYSTEMS, INC. can build your basketball court according to your needs and budget. Hard basketball courts should be durable and should require low maintenance. All hard courts are finished with an Acrylic Color System in order to achieve uniform texture, speed of play, durability, proper drainage, and color. In addition to the Acrylic Color System a resilient layer or layers of cushioning material can be applied over the concrete or asphalt court. This is possible with the PlexicushionŽ system and is popular with basketball players due to the excellent playing characteristics.

Another popular system for basketball courts is the PlexiflorŽ system. This system offers the advantages of PlexicushionŽ with added resiliancy for your basketball court. This will produce a court with a longer lasting, more sought after surface for your basketball court.

The most common basketball courts are:
Post-Tensioned Concrete:
An advanced construction technique that is virtually crack resistant. It is highly recommended and is the preferred method of concrete court construction in order to keep maintenance costs down.
Reinforced Concrete Court:
A concrete construction with steel reinforcement bars built with forms and screeds set accurately and secured to prevent settlement or movement. Non-extruded expansion joints are installed usually between courts or at the net line to allow movement during settlement of the concrete.
Asphalt Mix Court:
Hot Mix Asphalt spread and compacted with a uniform density and thickness on top of a subbase. This is probably the most common tennis court in our area. Asphalt, while softer among hard courts, is not crack resistant and undulations do occur.
